barbour and the athens phenomenon
The Barbour jacket appears in Britain in 1894 to start its succesfull carrer as the perfect hunting and fishing outfit. For over a century it has been faithful to this role beeing associated to a conservative, classic mainly image, to foggy Scottland, ducks and pipes.
...Till year 2004 when in a mysterious way it appears in the mediteranian landscape of Athens worn by trendy teenagers!
Barbour becomes the new must-have for Boys and Girls from 15 to 25.
How can it fit in a teenagers wardrobe?...
Well the secret lies on the combination...
Boys tend to wear it with slightly baggy jeans or dockers-type trousers a causy sweater and dirty sneakers
As for girls it is a whole science...clothes are usually quite simple in pale color. shoes vary from converse to Tods or a sweet balarina, depending on how posh the style must look. The accesories are allways verry girly(numerous tiny or large braclets colorfull ribons and watches, rings etc). The bag is usually Longchamp and the hair allways voluminous and wild yet girly...
It also comes in the -I just got of bed- version with coton training trousers, messy hair and a vulnerable bored look...
here you can get a small idea...
